Apparently the original art is supposed to “grow on you”….somehow I doubt that. 

Ehh, I find the original art charming in a way…and besides, people got through it just fine when that was all that was available…;;

And IMO, during the more dramatic moments the old art portrays the facial expressions much better. The updated art focuses too much on *~*teh pretties*~* and less on emotion…

Bluh bluh I’m rambling. OTL The newer art is definitely better, but I have this odd bias going anyway ._.

I agree on that part. I tried the graphic patch a few times but something simply felt amiss. Plus: Higurashi is a Sound Novel, not a Visual Novel.
